In order to execute Msconfig.exe:

1. Click Start then go to Run, type Msconfig.exe and click Enter.

2. A list of all the processes and programs that are sets to run at Windows XP startup can be seen on the Startup tab.

3. After you have seen all the programs and process you should determined which programs and process that you don’t need them to run at Windows XP startup. Just deselect or untick the item that you have determined. After you have done click Apply and then restart your PC to make the changes take effect.
