The upcoming for SimCity Java ME revamp that is SimCity Deluxe has been revealed by EA. For 2010 the framework has been enchanced although it uses the same framework for Sim City 2006.

If you are new in SimCity then the new help system will assist you in understanding each function of this game. The animated helper will help you to get know the details of each function.

For sure it will have better graphics with more details added. The new characters and animations will make your city comes to life! Two modes available that is Scenario and Freeplay mode. You can make your goals for certain population level on the scenario mode.

SimCity Deluxe will be released on May 12th and definitely most of the mobile gamers will crash all the stores near them!

With iPhone OS 4, Apple Joins the Multitasking Party

Since the launch of the iPhone’s competitors, the most valid claim for operating system superiority has been the iPhone’s lack of multitasking. Both Palm’s (PALM) webOS and Google’s (GOOG) Android have offered such functionality from the start.

Apple’s main concern about multitasking has always been its negative effect on battery life. But this morning, noting that “we weren’t the first to this party, but we’re going to be the best,” Steve Jobs announced that iPhone OS 4 will, indeed, offer multitasking.

No real specifics yet on how the company overcame the power issue, but SVP of Software Scott Forstall took the stage to talk about seven multitasking services that will be available to developers:

Background audio streaming
Voice over Internet protocol (VoIP)
Background location
Push notifications
Local notifications
Task completion
Fast app switching

Jobs noted that multitasking will be available only for the iPhone 3GS, third-generation iPod touch and iPad.

I was invited to a behind the scenes look at elements of the Windows Phone 7 Series developer platform. At Mobile World Congress (covered earlier in this channel), Microsoft provided a first look at Windows Phone 7 Series – and Im pleased to offer you the opportunity to see a live demonstration up close.

Yes, I got to play with the phone, too. It works as advertised – even as a prototype. Unfortunately, we could not adjust the brightness settings in this particular device. The “Metro” interface is a bucket of win in my book.

Charlie Kindel partner group program manager, Windows Phone App Platform & Developer Experience was hosting an intimate reception this evening in San Francisco. I wasn’t able to make it, but Microsoft arranged a somewhat more private meeting with Greg Sullivan from the Windows Phone team a little closer to home.

I met Greg a few years ago through the Longhorn Labs project (back when Microsoft Windows team leads worked actively with their most vocal community supporters). I’m not sure if I can reveal any more device details at this point, but suffice it to say…

I want one.
