November 8th, 2009

Slow ComputerThere are several reasons for a slow computer. Usually, the reduced speed of the internet is closely associated with a slow pc. So naturally, it can be assumed that fixing the root problem will solve both the issues.

I will give you some valuable tips so that you can try to enhance the speed of your computer. But as far as the internet speed is concerned, you have to make sure that you avail an internet connection which is no way inferior to the rest of the population.

Step 1. Do a registry scan by downloading a good registry repair program.

A registry filled with errors and unwanted files is the main reason for slowing down of the system. The registry can be compared to a huge database where the details regarding the hardware and software are being stored. Every action you perform in the computer will be recorded the system registry. The more you use the system or the more programs you install, the more will be the chances for your computer to slow down. Other than a slow pc, the corrupted registry is also responsible for error messages and system crashes.

Many registry cleaners are available in the market and they offer a free scan before you make the order. As with any system, the computer also needs periodic maintenance. Hence it is advisable to use a registry cleaner to perform scanning and repair at frequent intervals.

Step 2. Download an antispyware to find malicious programs in your computer.

A good antispyware program will secure the pc and makes the system operate more effectively. Ensure that you get a good program to avoid troubles later. A small problem associated with the use of an antispyware is that it requires a lot of space. So installing the program itself will be like inviting trouble. The best solution is to install the program to detect and fix the malware and then to uninstall the software later.

Step 3. Restart your internet modem. Unplug the cable for half a minute and plug it again. This is also helpful in many cases.

Step 4. Delete the browser history and temporary files. Go to tools menu on the top bar of the browser to perform both the actions.

Step 5. Free the disk space by using the disk cleanup and disk defragmenter options. After the procedure, create a restore point using the system restore option.
